Zinnia, Dawncreek Mix
We are sharing these beauties from Dawncreek as part of a fundraiser to help equip us to grow and cutivate these amazing flowers to share with you all! We also will be returning a portion of the proceeds to Dawncreek who has graciously allowed us to sell these as part of our sale! Also, 10% will be going to help an orphanage that we support in Uganda Africa. For these reasons & others, we have priced these seeds this way.
We have kept these isolated and culled out any unwanted plants but there still will most likely be the stray plants that you might want to cull out or possibly ones that are even better than these! If isolated & unwanted ones are culled out, you too can save these seeds to grow out year after year!
This stunning mix is from Dawncreek and is a blend of soft blush, lilac and copper. We have done our best to only keep plants with double & semi double blooms & have culled out all plants with single blooms. Definitely a welcome addition to any garden!
Zinnias are most definitely a flower workhorse and if you do not as yet grow these you will definitely want to! If you do grow zinnias already then I need not tell you anymore how wonderful they are!
Seeds per packet: a MINIMUM of 25 (I like to be generous though :)
Annual
Height: approximately 48in
Plant in Full Sun
Planting Depth: 1/4in
Days to germination: 2-5 days
Germinates at: 60°F-80°F
Plant spacing: About 9in.
Days to maturity: 75-95 days
You can direct sow these into the ground if you'd prefer but I find the best way is to start these indoors about 2in under grow lights, 4 weeks before your last frost. Be sure to acclimate them slowly to the outdoors at least 1 week before planting outside. This way you get ahaed on the season and better germination results!
All of these pictures are our own! Please do not use them without our permission! Thank you!
